Hey there! My name is Julia Kraus, most people call me J. You might also know me as J. Kathryn Art.

I am an illustrator from Conroe, Texas. I enjoy studying the behaviors of flora and fauna, and translating my observations to paper using watercolor, gouache, and ink. I combine these observations with folklore, fairytales, and my imagination to illustrate the magic and whimsy of nature. 

If you ever happen upon me out in the world, I'll probably be taking pictures of little critters. My favorite bug is the Rainbow Scarab. I love how they bumble around, rolling up dung, and fixing nutrients into the soil. They are both silly and significant, as I hope you find my art.
